Title: Soothing Tooth Powder
Categories: Dental *
Yield: 1 1/2 ounces

1tbArrowroot powder
1tsSalt
1/2tsBaking soda
  Peppermint extract, optional

This tooth powder is especially soothing to sensitive teeth and gums because it contains arrowroot, a fine, white powder that was used by Native Americans to heal arrow wounds. It can be found in many grocery stores and is similar to cornstarch in appearance, texture, and its use in cooking.

Mix together the arrowroot powder, salt and baking soda. You may want to add a few drops of peppermint extract to make the powder taste a little less salty. Dip a damp toothbrush into this powder and brush your teeth.
